This was delicious and the entire group loved it! I only did a couple shaped apple slices (since you can only use a small part of the apple to do so). I filled the bowl with apple wedges and then put the shapes around the edges and at the top. This was a hit with both the kids and the adults!

Haven't made this recipe yet, but looks promising. Find it hard to believe that it is DIABETIC FRIENDLY.. It is full of sugars ( brown sugar, caramel ice cream topping, marshmallow creme, etc ).. Would not give to a diabetic

To Dawson1457; I think that she cut the slices parallel to the core, not across the core. It yields less slices but you are able to use small cookie cutters to make the designs in the slices.

Just tried this recipe and it is very delicious with apples. It's a keeper for a dip for apples

How do you get a clean center cut out without the apple core in the middle????

Sounds really good. Answer to question from iwant I also make a fruit dip, that's just cream cheese and marshmellow cream and it lasts for more than a week if it hasn't had anything dipped in it. Thanks for a great recipe.

I have an even easier recipe. Equal parts Phili cheese and packed brown sugar. Blend together and add 1 tsp. vanilla. Super fast and easy and everyone really enjoys!

Question... If this is Diabetic Friendly What is The Carb Count? I need that to be able to add it to my meal plan. thanks

I make a similar recipe with less ingredients. The cream cheese (softened) 1/2 c brown sugar, 1/4 c white sugar, 1 t vanilla. Mix well. Chill to let flavors deepen. Enjoy.

And in answer to iwant: You can easily make this a day ahead (the flavor actually improves). Also, if you zap the cream cheese in the microwave to soften it will mix up quickly.

I haven't made this yet. I run a seniors group and would like to make it for them. I was wondering how long this will keep in the fridge? I will have to make it for 60 so obviously will be making it ahead,

I made this for a jewelry party I was having around Halloween. I used the cookie cutters for my apple slices and people were raving about how great they looked and how amazingly addicting the dip was. This recipe has been added to my favorites!
