I have been making these since the recipe was first published! Someone always asks for the recipe! If you want them even more chocolatey and rich, use a chocolate cake mix! YUMMY

I make these every year for the holidays..always a hit but very, very rich. Because of this I make sure to cut the bars very small in size.

Thought I'd save some by putting them in the freezer, but they taste good frozen, too!

Can vary cake flavor and chip flavor, like choc cake mix and peanut butter chips; or yellow or spice cake with butterscotch chips.... Can add coconut, or nuts anywhere here !! % min to make, 20 to bake !!! Easy and FANTASTIC !!!!!

I found these in a Taste of Home cookbook I received for my wedding and have made them several times. Each time I've made them, they were a hit! So good and moist - and easy to make! Definitely will make them many more times and would like to try to reverse the recipe like another reviewer mentioned - sounds interesting!

I have been making this since it first came out in Quick Cooking. It's easy and great for bake sales (not too gooey) and it disappears quickly. Even my young nephews asked for the recipe when they started baking.

I love this recipe, it's fast and easy to make. I did experiment and reversed the recipe, Chocolate cake Mix with White Chocolate Chips mixed with a little Unsweetened Coconut...Both versions were a great hit
