Cake-Topped Blueberry Dessert Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh blueberries
  • 1 cup self-rising flour
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted

Directions

  • Place the blueberries in a greased 8-in. square baking dish. In a small bowl, combine the flour, sugar, milk and butter until smooth.
  • Pour over blueberries. Bake at 375° for 35-40 minutes or until golden brown and a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool on a wire rack. Yield: 6-8 servings.

Editor's Note: As a substitute for 1 cup of self-rising flour, place 1-1/2 teaspoons baking powder and 1/2 teaspoon salt in a measuring cup. Add all-purpose flour to measure 1 cup.
