Buttermilk Shake

Milkshakes are a wonderful treat in the hot summer months. This classic milkshake is my favorite.Doris Stebbins, St. Johnsbury, Vermont3 ServingsPrep/Total Time: 10 min.
Ingredients
- 3 cups chilled buttermilk
- 1/2 cup cold lemon juice
- Pinch of salt
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/8 teaspoon grated lemon peel
- 1 cup vanilla ice cream
- Dash ginger
Directions
- Combine all ingredients; blend or shake well. Serve with ginger.
- Yield: 3 servings.
