My mom's pancake recipe was a natural for the brunch we held at our family reunion. We made three batches and served the golden pancakes with a variety of toppings.Betty Abrey, Imperial, Saskatchewan

These pancakes are delicious and it is now my #1 pancake recipe. I cut the recipe in half as it made too many.

My family loves this recipe they like how fluffy the pancakes are.

Best pancakes ever!! Even better than IHOP. Some said they turned out thin. It may be because you over-mixed them. Stir just until moist and they will be thick and fluffy. Definitely my go to recipe.

I've never made real, homemade pancakes before. These blow away store bought, box pancake mixes! yum. So easy and taste great. I will probably never make pancakes from a box mix again.

These were great! I was worried they'd be dry because of no oil or butter added, but they were very moist. Cannot wait to make with blueberries. Will always use this recipe when I want to make pancakes.

If you want them even more tender, use all cake flour or at least 1/2 cake flour.

This is my go-to recipe for pancakes. They're wonderful. Often I'll add fresh or frozen blueberries, which really makes them great.

Very Good, I halved the recipe to feed less people, and had good results! I think the "thick v/s thin" batter has to do with the consistency of your buttermilk, and sea level elevation. Here in Chicagoland we have a thicker buttermilk, and I found the batter very thick. But still delish! This has become a keeper recipe in my house....

Not too thin at all!

If you are used to the thicker Bisquick pancakes, these will seem thin. I, on the other hand, add extra milk to Bisquick when I use it, because they are too thick! Think IHOP!

Based on the comments from other "reviewers", I decided to try using only 3 1/2 cups of buttermilk. The pancakes turned out beautifully and everyone agreed that they were the best pancakes I had ever made.

I was concerned at first by the comments that the batter was too thin, but that was not my experience at all. The batter was fine and the pancakes are very moist and tender. This is definitely now my go-to recipe for pancakes.

I thought the batter was a little thin so I added about 1/4 cup more of flour.
