Toasted pecans add a nutty crunch to this creamy buttery fudge. I have given this candy with its wonderful caramel flavor, as gifts at Christmastime and people always rave about it! -Pam Smith Alta Loma, California

I have been making this fudge for over 4 years now. It is delicious and creamy. Definitely my go to recipe. Making a batch for my cookie swap!

This is so fun to make. I love the creaminess of the fudge. It just melts in your mouth. Make sure to sift your pdsugar. My family keeps sneaking pieces. I had to make another batch for my party:)

Decadent flavor!! This fudge just melts in your mouth. However, I did not achieve the creamy consistency that many have described, despite making the recipe twice. Both times, the end result was very crumbly when I tried to cut it into pieces. The second time, I even tried reducing the powdered sugar slightly to 1 3/4 cups, but the fudge was still quite crumbly. Still, the flavor is buttery and delicious....I may keep trying to tweak the recipe to get a creamier consistency.

I took this to my doctor's office during the holiday for the staff. They flipped their lids for it! I've had several requests for the recipe. I plan on taking another batch on my next appointment. I did, however, add marshmallow fluff to the recipe after it was done cooking to add more "height". The staff described it as a cross between fudge and divinity :)

Wow! this is the bomb! best fudge I ever made, I'd like a dark chocolate version of this

Double the recipe and use 1 pound plus 1/4 cup powdered sugar. Make sure you sift the powdered sugar. This is the best.

This was excellent - the easiest fudge I've ever made. May do just a few less pecans in it next time.

Reminiscent of pecan pralines but so much easier to make.

Loved this recipe! After reading the reviews I cut the powdered sugar to 1 3/4 cup. Turned out very creamy and full of flavor

this is easy and very good in texture and taste. I made it while baking cookies and making dinner--no trouble

I must have tried to make fudge the last 20 years of my life...with the old candy thermometer. Never did master ''the art of fudge-making"....until this recipe. It came out perfect, smooth as silk, very tasty, like a vanilla truffle. Hooray, at age 65, I finally made a batch of fudge that came out!! Thank you !!!

very easy, and my husband said this one is a keeper...

Highly recommend! A++++ recipe. Best fudge I have ever had!

This fudge is so rich and creamy, and the flavor is to die for. I halved the amount of pecans in it, and there was still plenty in there. Also, the toasted pecans really added a wonderful flavor to this fudge. If ade proper, it should turn out smooth, and not chalky at all. Definately is getting added to my fudge recipe book. YUM!

The flavor was wonderful, but it was very crumbly and dry. Did I put in too much powdered sugar? I'd make it again if I knew how to make it creamy like everyone else says it is.

A new family holiday treat!! Creamy and tastes delicious. I can not keep it in the house once it is made.

Reviewed on Dec. 28, 2009 by bonist55

This fudge was quite delicious but the consistancy of this fudge is like that of chalk. It's hard, flaky, and brittle. The powdered sugar hardens up the mixture and should be replaced with marshmallow fluff instead or sweetened condensed milk. I have not attempted to alter this recipe yet but I intend to. Again, the flavor was incredible but the wrong texture.

This Butter Pecan Fudge Recipe was so easy (made 4 batches of it back to back) and very delicious! Made another batch without the pecans for a bit of variety. All of the family loved this fudge! Definately a holiday staple!

I made this last night and it was a breeze to make, yet tasted like I had spent hours in the kitchen! Smooth and creamy base with the nuts added for a touch of crunchiness, this recipe has become an instant hit with my family and will definitely be included as part of a holiday tradition from now on!

As someone else said I have been making this wonderful fudge since I frist saw it in the magazine. I have witched out the pecans with chopped walnuts, it taste like vanilla fudge that comes from a fancy candy store. So now I make both each year.
