On chilly days, it's a pleasure coming home to this savory pot roast bubbling in the slow cooker. The tender beef, vegetables and tasty gravy are mouthwatering over a bed of noodles. —Lora Snyder, Columbus, Massachusetts

This was an excellent recipe! I added garlic, shallots and a couple bay leaves. I did season and brown my roast before putting it in the slow cooker. I served this with buttered egg noodles, steamed petite peas , and sourdough rolls. I will definately make this again-thank you!
