Buffalo Sloppy Joes

Ingredients
- 2 pounds extra-lean ground turkey
- 2 celery ribs, chopped
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 medium carrot, grated
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 can (8 ounces) tomato sauce
- 1/2 cup reduced-sodium chicken broth
- 1/4 cup Louisiana-style hot sauce
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 8 hamburger buns, split
- 1 cup (4 ounces) crumbled blue cheese, optional
Directions
- Cook the first five ingredients in a Dutch oven over medium heat
- until turkey is no longer pink. Stir in the tomato sauce, chicken
- broth, hot sauce, brown sugar, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce and
- pepper; heat through.
- Serve on buns; sprinkle with cheese if desired. Yield: 8 servings.
