Brownie Pie A la Mode Recipe

Brownie Pie A la Mode Recipe Brownie Pie A la Mode Recipe photo by Taste of Home Rating 5

This is a quick brownie recipe for when you need something good and chocolaty. Cutting them into wedges and topping them with fudge sauce dresses them up. My family loves these brownies. Our 11-year-old daughter makes them all by herself and gets raves every time. -Beverly Thornton, Cortlandt Manor, New York

Tip

Substitute for Nuts

If your family loves the crunch of nuts in brownies and chocolate chip cookies, but someone is allergic to them, add granola or crisp rice cereal in the same amounts as the nuts called for in your recipes. But, always check the granola or cereal packages for nut allergy alerts to be certain.

Very good!

These are really, really good if you sprinkle the top with Heath Toffee bits before baking!

Made this today for a Superbowl gathering. It was a hit! Two things though...One, the directions said "pour" the batter into the greased pie plate. It is thick batter and doesn't pour out...at least mine didn't...it must be spooned out. Second, the toothpick inserted near the center never did come out clean. I went ahead and took the brownie out at 30 min. It was actually a bit crunchy on the edges...I like crunchy so that was ok, but I would not have wanted to leave it in any longer waiting for the toothpick to come out clean. I will make these again.
