Breezy Brownies
For a quick and easy dessert, I whip up these brownies. The frosting also makes the brownies irresistible.Mary Peterson, Centralia, Ontario

Ingredients
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup butter
4 eggs
1/8 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup chocolate syrup
1 cup plus 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
1 cup chopped pecans
FROSTING:
1-1/2 cups sugar
6 tablespoons butter, softened
1/3 cup milk
1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup chopped pecans
Directions
In a large bowl, cream sugar and butter until light and fluffy. beat
in eggs and salt. Stir in chocolate syrup, flour and nuts.
Pour into a greased 13-in. x 9-in. baking pan. Bake at 350° for
20 minutes. Cool for 15 minutes.
For frosting, in a small saucepan, combine the sugar, butter and
milk. Bring to a boil, stirring frequently. Boil for 1 minute;
remove from the heat; stir in chocolate chips until melted. Beat
until spreading consistency, about 3 minutes. Add pecans, frost warm
brownies. Yield: 2 dozen.
