Bran Crumb Pie Crust Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1-1/2 cups All-Bran cereal
  • 2 tablespoons cold water
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1/4 teaspoons ground allspice, optional
  • 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon, optional
  • Pinch ground nutmeg, optional
  • 2 tablespoons. cold water

Directions

  • In small saucepan or microwave, melt butter.
  • Place bran in sealed plastic bag, crush with rolling pin.
  • In small bowl, mix crushed bran, cinnamon, nutmeg and allspice (if desired).
  • Drizzle butter and water over bran mixture. Mix well.
  • Press crumbs evenly into 9-inch pie pan.
  • Use as filling directs.
  • If filling calls for a pre-baked crust, bake in preheated 350°F oven for 8-10 minutes.
