TIME: Prep: 10 min. Bake: 30 min. + cooling

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons baking cocoa
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup chopped black walnuts

Directions:

In a small mixing bowl, beat sugar and oil until blended. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Combine the flour, cocoa and salt; gradually add to sugar mixture until well blended. Stir in walnuts.
    Pour into a greased 8-in. square baking pan. Bake at 350° for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool on a wire rack. Yield: 16 servings.
