Biscuit Nugget Chicken Bake Recipe

Ingredients

  • 3 cups cubed cooked chicken
  • 1 can (10-3/4 ounces) condensed cream of chicken soup, undiluted
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 jar (4-1/2 ounces) sliced mushrooms, drained
  • 1/2 teaspoon dill weed
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • TOPPING:
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon dried minced onion
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley flakes
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 tube (12 ounces) refrigerated buttermilk biscuits

Directions

  • In a large saucepan, combine the first six ingredients. Cook and stir over medium heat for 5-7 minutes or until heated through; keep warm.
  • In a large resealable plastic bag, combine the cheese, onion, parsley and paprika. Separate biscuits and cut into quarters; add to bag and shake to coat. Place on an ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 400° for 5 minutes.
  • Transfer chicken mixture to a greased 8-in. square baking dish; top with biscuits. Bake, uncovered, for 10-13 minutes or until bubbly and biscuits are golden brown. Yield: 4-6 servings.

The concept is good but the flavor was lacking. First of all it was way to soupy. If I made it again I would throw in a bag of mixed vegetable or something. Second all you could taste was dill. I would use poultry seasoning or Mrs. Dash or something to liven it up a little bit. But it was quick and I might make it again with changes. Oh, and I was distracted and didn't read COOKED chicken so I just simmered the filling until the chicken was cooked.

It was amazing! I used home made cream of chicken rather than canned. I served it with mashed potatoes and salad. I made it in a casserole dish and there were too many biscuits to fit in, I just baked them afterward on a cookie sheet- they were great, too! My four year old couldn't stop eating them!

I used canned chicken, and the taste was what it smelled like coming from the can. so next time ill use different chicken, then it might be ok. the biscuits were good

This was a good meal - my friend thought we could add veggies really easily to make it more complete. We all thought the biscuit nuggets were awesome! Very delish!
