Tip

Big Batch Baked Goods

We enjoy homemade baked goods for breakfast, but I don’t have time to bake each morning before school. So I devote 1 day a month to making large batches of cinnamon rolls, doughnuts, cream cheese rolls and muffins. I place them in heavy-duty resealable plastic bags labeled with the date. (They freeze for about 2 months.) On busy mornings, it’s a snap to pop a few in the microwave to warm. The kids love the fresh-baked flavor. —Lori T., New London, Texas

Excellent! I tried without the filling & sprinkled with regular sugar. Tastes exactly like my favorite donuts from a Chinese Restaurant I frequent. Love the versatility of this simple but delicious recipe.

Berry filled doughnuts turn out so nice, no one will know they're made from buttermilk biscuit dough. They are absolutely delicious and so easy to make, my family makes them whenever we have the biscuit dough to work with.

Just like we used to make when we didn’t have any money in the olden days.

We made them the same way except we put them in a brown bag and shook them

up with powder sugar and ate them. They were such a good treat that we ate them.

All before they got cold.
