Beef Taco Skillet Recipe
  • Prep: 5 min. Cook: 20 min.
  • Yield: 4 Servings
5 20 25

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 can (10 3/4 ounces) Campbell's® Condensed Tomato Soup (Regular or Healthy Request®)
  • 1/2 cup salsa
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 6 flour tortillas (6-inch), cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Directions

  • Cook the beef in a 10-inch skillet over medium-high heat until well browned, stirring often to separate meat. Pour off any fat.
  • Stir the soup, salsa, water and tortillas in the skillet and heat to a boil. Reduce the heat to low. Cook for 5 minutes. Stir the beef mixture. Top with the cheese. Yield: 4 servings.

Creamy Mexican Fiesta: Stir in 1/2 cup sour cream with the soup.

Ranchero Style: Use corn tortillas instead of flour tortillas and shredded Mexican cheese blend instead of Cheddar.

Serving Suggestion: Serve with a mixed green salad with Italian salad dressing and corn-on-the cob. For dessert serve with a store bought flan.

This is so much Better than a "box mixture" that adds Beef.Try a mixture of Chicken,Beef&Pork Tenderloin for less Nutritional's "bad" numbers for Healthier version.Quite Delicious~never notice.add extra Vegetables as well for Fibre.

This dish as it stands is bland. It definitely needs to have a boost of seasoning, My family did not like this dish and I will not make it again.

one of our regular recipes in the rotation. So esay and so good and filling. Sometimes I add more tortillas to make it go a little further.

I loved how this came together so quickly.

I always make taco seasoned beef! We worried about the tortillas -- easily fixed -- we just mixed them in before serving. Worked out fine, because the rest of the skillet was hot enough to heat the tortillas, and it tasted great!

I added Taco Seasoning to the meat and a can of green beans to add a veggie to the dish. My husband and I love it. Very easy and filling.

I use corn tortillas and add a small can of black olives. Also, we like to top it with sourcream.

I make this often and really like it. It's easy and tastes good. I stack 3 tortillas and use a pizza wheel to cut them. Really saves time. It is way better than Hamburger Helper. My 10 year old loves it!

This was disgusting, as I thought it might be because the recipe came from Campbell's. There is no seasoning in it and the tortillas are soggy and tasteless. I would never serve this to anyone again, and am shocked that other people actually liked it and would make it again. Even Hamburger Helper is better!
