Basil Green Beans Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 cups frozen French-style green beans
  • 2 teaspoons butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon lemon-pepper seasoning
  • Salt to taste, optional

Directions

  • Combine all ingredients in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 6-8 minutes or until beans are tender. Yield: 3 servings.

Nutritional Facts 1/2 cup (prepared with salt-free lemon-pepper and reduced-fat margarine and without salt) equals 42 calories, 32 mg sodium, 0 cholesterol, 7 g carbohydrate, 2 g protein, 2 g fat, 3 g fiber. Diabetic Exchanges: 1 vegetable, 1/2 fat.
