Barbecued Burgers Recipe

I can't take all the credit for these winning burgers. My husband's uncle passed down the special barbecue sauce recipe. We love it on everything...it was only natural to try it on, and in, burgers. —Rhoda Troyer, Glenford, Ohio

The burger was good even though I don't like adding oats and eggs to my burgers, but the sauce was outstanding! I had a lot left so I used it on anything I could.

The only beef burger recipe we ever use! And everyone asks for the recipe :) The burgers stay together well and are NEVER dry...we've been making these for years!

Best Hamburger I ever had!!!

The is, by far, the best recipe I've ever had for any burger...ever!! The filling is so simple, but so amazingly good! I did change up the sauce a bit though; I used a 12 oz bottle chili sauce for the 1 cup ketchup and then I used Kikomann's Garlic and Green Onion teryaki sauce instead of the molasses. I don't think I'll ever eat another burger recipe again!

This is my husband's absolute favorite BBQ sauce recipe! I love that the sauce tastes fabulous without the use of onions & garlic, because several people in our family have food allergies. I can grill a few plain burgers for them and they can still enjoy the BBQ sauce with it. Thanks for the great recipe!

The sauce is wonderful. I made the burgers and the sauce. I then stuffed the burgers with shredded swiss cheese and bacon bits before grilling. Additionally I grilled portabella mushroom caps and basted them with the sauce as well. I chopped the stems fine and added them to the beef mixture. I then served the burgers on top of the mushrooms, no need for a bun.

This recipe was very good. I have been searching for an easy burger recipe, this is it. I didn't have time to make the sauce so I just used barbecue sauce from the store. These did not fall apart and were tender and tasty.
