Barbecue Brisket Recipe

Ingredients

  • 5 lb lean beef brisket
  • Pinch salt and pepper
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 cups medium chipotle salsa

Directions

  • Trim any excess fat from brisket, and season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  • In small bowl, combine brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, and salsa. Spread over brisket, cover, and refrigerate overnight.
  • Preheat the oven to 300°F. Place brisket and marinade in a heavy pot. Bake covered for 5 to 6 hours, or until the brisket is tender. Serve.
