Tip

Quick Homemade Croutons

I hate to waste the heel from a loaf of bread or a few leftover hot dog or hamburger buns. So I cube them into a bowl, spray them with nonstick cooking spray and season with garlic powder, parsley and basil or oregano. Then I bake them on a cookie sheet at 250° until they’re crisp and brown. My family loves the quick homemade croutons. —Nancy C., Windermere, Florida

Yummy! Soooo easy. Sprinkled the croutons with paprika to give some color.

This was good and so easy! I made it with chicken broth because my husband doesn't like wine, but I'm sure it would be even better with it. I sprinkled some garlic salt and a little poultry seasoning on the chicken before adding the sauce,so that also added some flavor. It looks like you really put in a lot of work but took me very little time to prep. so it would be good for company.

This recipe was so easy and yet is elegant. I used caesar croutons and frozen chicken breasts which I defrosted in the microwave. Very yummy!

I absolutely love this recipe. I sometimes (not that it isn't rich enough) will crush the croutons and add some melted butter to them....mmmmmmmm then put them on top and bake.
