This is an extermely easy recipe! I made the baked pears as a dessert for my New Years dinner (pork, sourkraut, and mashed potatoes). I had sweet, juicy fresh pears that needed to be eaten soon. I sliced up 3 pears (tripling the recipe). I served them warm out of oven with a spoon full of Haagen-Dazs Dulce de leche carmel ice-cream on top...mmm.
