You may think you're biting into a warm-from-the-oven oatmeal cookie with how good this breakfast treat tastes. It's wonderful served with milk. —Arlene Riehl, Dundee, New York

I have made this for myself many times, but finally took it to a church breakfast and was asked by many for the recipe. Also works great with frozen blueberries.

Another way to serve this is to put it into the crock pot overnight using steel cut oats instead of instant. Then you don't have to get up early to put it into the oven!

YES! YES! YES! Hubby and I had something similar at a diner in PA - baked in individual ramekins. The waitress said their recipe was "oats, brown sugar, milk, etc." No fruit. Have not been able to find a baked oatmeal recipe that didn't contain fruit - until now. Thank you!
