Bacon-Chicken Crescent Ring Recipe
  • Prep: 25 min. Bake: 20 min.
  • Yield: 8 Servings
25 20 45

Ingredients

  • 2 tubes (8 ounces each) refrigerated crescent rolls
  • 1 can (10 ounces) chunk white chicken, drained and flaked
  • 1-1/2 cups (6 ounces) shredded Swiss cheese
  • 3/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped sweet red pepper
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 6 bacon strips, cooked and crumbled
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon Italian salad dressing mix

Directions

  • Grease a 14-in. pizza pan. Unroll crescent roll dough; separate into 16 triangles. Place wide end of one triangle 3 in. from edge of prepared pan with point overhanging edge of pan. Repeat with remaining triangles along outer edge of pan, overlapping the wide ends (dough will look like a sun when complete). Lightly press wide ends together.
  • In a small bowl, combine the remaining ingredients. Spoon over wide ends of dough. Fold points of triangles over filling and tuck under wide ends (filling will be visible). Bake at 375° for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown. Yield: 8 servings.

Great weeknight supper - quick to put together since I always have diced, cooked chicken in the freezer. Made up the filling in the morning, assembled and popped into the oven for dinner in about 30 minutes. I used green onions in place of white and Ranch dressing mix in place of Italian (because I had them on hand) and everyone loved this. Teenage son said, "add this to the 'make again' list!"

A simple, delicious Ring. Crescent Rolls, canned Chicken, Mayo, Veg. Bakes quickly. Tastes like a restaurant Dish.

This was good. I made it tonight, but added more Dijon mustard and omitted the Italian seasoning because its too salty. I also added broccoli and use a rotisserie chicken instead of canned chicken and it came out delicious!

It was pretty good. I wish it would have had a little more of a serious taste if that makes sense...

Made this last night for a group of friends, It was amazing... I changed it up just a little by using pepper-jack cheese and adding some chunks of ham. Came out WONDERFUL!!!

This was a little salty, so I might try to find reduced salt/sodium bacon, etc. the next time I make it. We still ate quite a good bit of it, though!

Even better the next day heated in the oven to keep the crunchiness of the crescents.

This was good, not amazing though. Pretty easy to make and made decent left overs.

This is one of my favorite recipes ever. I make it all the time. I wasn't paying attention the first time I made it and didn't notice the Italian dressing so I didn't use it. We loved it so much I've never added it in.

This was sooo good! I tweaked it a bit by using ranch instead of Italian and it turned out wonderful. I will definitely be making this again!

Have made this a few times and have been asked to make it for other ppl. to take with them to parties. Excellant recipe. Wouldn't change a thing.

Made this last week and the family loved it. Will make again.

This tastes fantastic but I'm embarrassed to admit that I shaped it wrong. I still don't understand how to press the wide ends together while tucking the pointy sides underneath! :) Terribly embarrassing, but it tasted so good no one minded its odd shape. Will definitely make again and again.

I don't eat mayo so I added sour cream instead and it was great.

This was made for a family party and vanished so fast, I had to make another one. Everyone asked for the recipe and got it. It's delicious and definitely a keeper.

This was delicious. Even my teens loved it. Can easily be adapted to individual preferences, but we loved it as is. Will definitely serve again.

This was very very good. Very rich, but easy to make, impressive-looking, and very tasty.

I made this for my family for Christmas morning breakfast and we all LOVED it! Fantastic and delicious! Rather simple to make, I cooked up the filling the day before and then assembled the ring in the morning. I used real, boiled chicken instead of the canned

chicken. Will make this again soon, maybe for New Years Day!!

I tried this, was ok. Next time will make without salad dressing or mayo, instead will substitute white sauce and add peas.

I made this with left over pork roast that I cubed, omitted the bacon and the salad dressing and substituted celery for the peppers.I baked this in a glass pie pan for 40 min.Absolutely delicious. I will be making this again with any meat leftovers. Thank you.

One of my family's favorites is a ham and broccoli ring - very similar to this. We will try this one very soon! It looks wonderfully delicious.

For a healthier version substitute Cresecent rolls with the Pillsbury Reduced fat version and the mayo with lowfat sour cream. Works Great!

Reviewed on Dec. 12, 2008 by jonicompton

I'm going to try this using a canned pizza crust from the dairy case. I'm going to put the filling in the middle, fold over and press together - then turn into a wreath shape and press the ends together.

I think that horseradish  would  have enough zing to replace the mustard.

Reviewed on Dec. 12, 2008 by lvmi2kds

Is there a different ingredient that I could substitue for the Dijon mustard??

Reviewed on Dec. 12, 2008 by tiggs

If you reread the ingredients...it calls for 6 strips of bacon, cooked and crumbled!!! Tigger

Reviewed on Dec. 12, 2008 by Mimma56

the recipe does say combine the remaining ingredients. I am just assuming that the bacon that was fried and crumbled is one of the remaining ingredients?

Reviewed on Dec. 12, 2008 by jwicker425

Lovesnow asked about the BACON, not the dressing. Where's the BACON in the recipe?

Am I missing something? Where is the bacon?

It should be a dry mix, like Good Seasons (Italian Dressing...for salads, in a package where the bottled dressings are).

I made 2 of these and they were a hit, no leftovers. I used two different cheese to mix it up. Very easy to make and filling. One I will make again.
