I meant to say I OMIT the bacon and velveeta on that previous post!
Kids love these!! I don't omitt the bacon and velveta. I do add 2 Tablespoons of brown sugar and a pinch of shredded cheddar cheese on occasion! This mixture is great for sloppy joes as well!!

Easy way to cut the bacon before cooking it is by cutting it with your scissors. My 3 year old likes to help make this and always asks for more! We don't like ketchup or mustard but use homemade ranch as a topper and also use chipolte cheddar cheese rather than velveeta. Super good and quick!

It was simple and tasty. My kids enjoyed them! I baked them at 10 minutes and they were perfectly golden.

My family did not care for this recipe. I added chili powder as suggested. We felt the bacon did not enhance the dish. Maybe will try it with taco seasoned beef.

I made this recipe a few weeks ago...it was great. Very time consuming but definatly well worth it! I used a 1 1/2 ground beef instead of 1lb and i would recommend less cooking time, i did it for 18 or 19 minutes and the bottoms were very dark. Still great!!
