Ingredients

  • 6 bacon strips, halved lengthwise
  • 12 breadsticks (about 5 inches long)

Directions

  • Wrap a piece of bacon around each breadstick. Place on a rack in an ungreased 15-in. x 10-in. x 1-in. baking pan. Bake at 375° for 20-25 minutes or until bacon is crisp. Yield: 1 dozen.

Nutrition Facts: 1 serving (2 each) equals 156 calories, 14 g fat (5 g saturated fat), 15 mg cholesterol, 220 mg sodium, 4 g carbohydrate, trace fiber, 3 g protein.

I bake them on a rack in the pan so they drip instead of swim as they bake. Still yummy! I'll have to try them with the Parmesan as the last reviewer suggested!

I also add parmesan cheese to these but do it right out of the oven as I am transferring them to a cooling rack. The parmesan is a great addition.

An easier way with less clean up is to put four at a time on a paper plate in the microwave. All you have to do is throw three paper plates away. I've always done mine this way.

I make these all the time but they're even better if rolled in parmesan cheese before baking.
