BESIDES being colorful, this side dish complements a variety of meats…pork, beef or poultry, certainly a fitting vegetable for harvest meals. The mild flavor of the carrots is enhanced by the bacon and onion combination.

Easy to make with ingredients which are normally on hand. Good, will use this one again.

This was a good vegetable to add to the table, but was beat out by the stuffing, mashed potatoes, turkey, and gravy. The bacon makes it a hit.

I am trying to get my husband closer to his roots. So I decided to look up German recipes. He ate it and really liked it. This is going to be made often.
