Ingredients
- 12 pieces red shoestring licorice or licorice whips
- 24 small red gumdrops (1/2-inch)
- 24 cutout butter cookies
Directions
- Cut licorice into twenty-four 4-1/2-in. pieces. Make a small slit in
- the bottom of a gumdrop near one edge; insert one licorice piece end
- into the gumdrop. Make another slit in the opposite side of the
- gumdrop; insert the other end of the licorice.
- Carefully push the small end of gumdrop up through the hole of a
- butter cookie. Repeat with remaining gumdrops, licorice and cookies.
- Yield: 2 dozen.
