"THIS DESSERT is delicious hot or cold. It pops up slightly when baked and has a nice golden-honey color. Any type of fruit or preservescherries, apricots, strawberries, applesauce, etc.works as a topping. You also can use a variety of ingredients in Babkatry it with raisins!"

I've made this many times, both with and without raisins. Most of my family especially love the squares with a dollop of cherry pie filling, but I'm partial to apricot preserves.
