A friend served this salad, and I just had to get the recipe. My husband loves BLT sandwiches, so this has become a favorite of his. It's nice to serve on hot and humid days, which we frequently get during summer here in Virginia.

Seeding TomatoesSummer is the perfect time of year to enjoy fresh juicy tomatoes in all types of recipes. It's usually not necessary to remove the seeds from tomatoes before using. But for some recipes, seeding the tomatoes can improve the dish's appearance or eliminate excess moisture. For example, it's not important to seed tomatoes when preparing a tossed salad. But it's nice to remove the seeds when making creamy tomato soup to ensure a smooth texture. And using seeded tomatoes when assembling a casserole can prevent it from becoming watery. To remove the seeds from a tomato, cut it in half horizontally and remove the stem. Holding a tomato half over a bowl or sink, scrape out seeds with a small spoon or squeeze the tomato to force out the seeds. Then slice or dice as directed in the recipe.

This is excellent! Except I did not put in the chili sauce - 1, I don't put it on my BLTs and 2, I didn't have any. Next time I will put a full cup of tomato in, and also add a little more mayo. Nice cool salad on a hot, humid day.

When I found this recipe I doubled it because I knew what a hit it will become. I made extra sauce and used a whole pound of bacon. I also cooked the pasta aldente. The pasta absorbs some of the sauce that way and taste better.

Good salad, but needed more dressing. Next time I'll try 1 1/2 times the recipe.

I liked this however, my mentioned that the sauce tasted like Thousand Island Dressing. Not the reaction I wanted. It tastes best with freshly cooked bacon crumbled on ea. serving & the shredded lettuce underneath. IMO.

We love this salad! I have made it many times, and decided to rate it because I got online to share it with a friend. As we often make it up (except for the lettuce and bacon) early in the day, it seemed to get a bit dry, so we make an extra half a dressing recipe to add in when we add the lettuce. It's just great on a hot summer day!

Excellent salad just made it and had to give it a taste. Give it a 10. Didn't have any chili sauce so just added a bit of chili powder...Also added a bit more bacon, never can have to much bacon.
