Great dip!

I made this for a house party tonight, and it was such a hit, the bowl was wiped clean. I used about 9 oz. of the "real bacon" stuff I found in the store and it really made the recipe so easy. I served it with pita slices & bagel chips, but someone had Fritos, and the corn chip & dip combo was soooo delicious.

I added 2 cans of drained RO-TEL diced tomatoes&green chilies to my dip for the for the 4th of July. Then on top along with the green onion and bacon I added one seeded tomato chopped. It was a really big hit with our group of friends. They always count on me to bring the best dips. We love a little heat to our dips and this did the trick.

I make this every 4th of July and everyone loves it! It tastes best if you make it the night before.

Another easy hint: Use the real bacon bits instead of cooking bacon strips. This makes this a very easy recipe to both make and clean up after.
Amazing bacon flavor! I added about 1 teas. garlic powder and let sit overnight to blend the flavors... When served, this dip disappeared!

I made this for a family get-together and it was a real hit! The "10 minute" prep time is totally unrealistic. Cooking two pounds of bacon, chopping six tomatoes, slicing three onions... if someone can accomplish this in less than ten minutes, I want that person in MY kitchen!

I made this for a family get together, it was a hit!! They asked for the recipe. My daughter told me it was a keeper!

Although this is called BLT Dip, there is not lettuce in the recipe. The flavors are reminiscent of a BLT sandwich, but it could be served in a lettuce-lined bowl if desired, as shown in the photo. As for the garnish that some people questioned, it is just crumbled bacon and green onions, as the recipe states.Taste of Home Test Kitchen
