Using frozen vegetables and a package of au gratin potatoes, I can get this satisfying stovetop supper on the table in no time. Even our oldest daughter, who can be a picky eater, loves it - and it is an excellent way of getting her to eat her vegetables. -Penny Greene, Lancaster, Ohio

I liked this pretty well, but my husband LOVED it. I don't make it often because it's far from healthy (although there are veggies nicely hidden in the cheesy sauce), but it is very simple to prepare and the taste is great.

we like this recipe because I always have the ingredients on hand, and it is great for super busy nights! (or when you'd rather not do much in the kitchen at all!) thanks again!

I've been making something similar to this for years only i don't use boxed potatoes, i use fresh potatoes and no oil. I lightly saute the sausage and the potatoes, then add the vegetables, and enough water to barely cover the meal. Then cover with a lid until potatoes and vegetables are done to your liking. Add shredded cheddar to taste on top of each serving. My husband liked this with the au gratin potatoes, i did not.

Not a bad concept, but mine was WAY too salty. So much so that I couldn't even eat it. I may try it again with a reduced sodium pack of potatoes but I'd rather just have Kielbasa sauteed with onions and green peppers. Disappointing because it was simple and easy.

My fiancee loves kielbasa and potatoes. This was a real treat for him. I don't think I've ever seen him so anxious to eat a meal ever. It was definitely yummy, quite salty and not the healthiest but you could exchange the sausage for a turkey sausage variety and use a reduced sodium package of au gratin potatoes.

My Granddaughter (8 yrs. old) loves to cook with me. I am always looking for something simple. She practices her reading as she reads the recipe first all the way through and then I stand back and watch and play consultant. Simple with wonderful flavor.
