I got this recipe from a television cooking show some years ago. I like to mix the burgers together in the morning and refrigerate until dinnertime. - Patricia Rubsam, Hillsboro, Oregon

SERVINGS: 4

CATEGORY: Main Dish

METHOD: Grill (gas or charcoal)

TIME: Prep/Total Time: 25 min.

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 to 4 tablespoons minced fresh cilantro
  • 1 green onion, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 7 drops hot pepper sauce
  • Pinch pepper
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 4 hamburger buns, split

Directions:

In a bowl, combine the first seven ingredients. Crumble beef over the mixture and mix well. Shape into four patties.
Broil or grill until no longer pink. Serve on buns. Yield: 4 servings. Freeze leftover minced fresh parsley in a resealable plastic bag. Use it directly from the freezer in any recipe calling for fresh or dried parsley.

AWESOME! A great change of pace from the standard burger. I topped these burgers with store bought coleslaw mix dressed with Asian salad dressing. They were the hit of the back yard BBQ! Try them you'll see.
