We enjoyed these very much as written, but I like the idea of adding apple pie spice to the batter. Will try that next time!

Very good. I subbed 1/2 c. oats for 1/2 of the flour, used 1/2 applesauce for the oil and used egg substitute. Also decreased the milk slightly and just sprinkled the walnuts on top - delicious!

My husband (who has a very "discriminating" palate - a.k.a. a picky eater) LOVED these. They taste more like a fancy french toast than a pancake, but are delicious. I did add 1/2 tsp. of cinnamon and also used only white flour, since the hubby hates anything made w/ whole wheat flour. One thing to note: the pancakes did not bubble at any point, so just flip them over when they all but the center is dry on top.

These pancakes are very tasty and have a smooth texture. I added 1/2 teaspoon apple pie spice for more flavor.
