We loved it but had to put the batter in a blender to get a smooth consistancy.. Glad to see you changed the directions..

I tried this recipe a couple of days ago. My husband and I just loved it. Yes, the butter must be added last. To fix it I used a whisk and it came out nicely. The applesauce idea sounds interesting. I am losing weight and will substitute applesauce for the butter next time I make it. Overall, this recipe is a huge success.

I made one change to this recipe. I used 3 Tablespoons applesauce in place of half of the butter called for and it turned out really good. Next time I will try substituting applesauce in place of the entire butter ingredient. I will make this recipe often.

After reading comments here, we have revised the method to combine all of the dry ingredients first, then the wet ingredients, then stir them together until combined. Changes will be reflected here soon. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Tried this the other day. Wonderful! I did add the melted butter at the end, so the batter turned out okay. The first time I followed directions and the batter consistency was awful! Apple taste was just right. Will definitely have these again.

There is a mistake here. You get a crust like consistancy when you mix butter with dry ingredients as this recipe states. You must add the butter after you mix the milk and eggs with the dry ingredients.  Otherwise it is a huge mess!

Apple waffles are always delicious and these are so very tasty, my entire family loves them. We make them on a regular basis for breakfast and will definitely be making them many more times.

Such a quick and tasty breakfast! The kids loved it and I loved sneaking an extra serving of fruit in their diet.

These were delicious! I topped them with Apple-cinnamon Syrup from this site. So very good! I will certainly make these again! Thank you for the recipe!
