This is a great recipe. I only have one idea, instead of water use Mountain Dew Soda. It is wonderful! Carol

I liked these, but it was important to sprinkle the sugar on the apples, then roll them ASAP. If one doesn't they become watery and difficult to roll and cut. I also would use less syrup over the top. I will make these again, however I may try it with regular bread dough (like a cinn. roll) or with less syrup. Finely chopped walnuts were a good addition.

The Apple Pinwheels was very good. I enjoyed it best warmed. However, I think I would halved the sugar, butter, and water mixture that was poured over top. After sitting for a day, it was way too sweet. I will definately make this again.

I never got my mom's apple biscuit recipe. She just through it together. I've been trying to remember it and this recipe came very close, including the syrup that was put over her biscuits. Thanks for the recipe and the memories.
