Apple Date Crisp Recipe

Apple Date Crisp Recipe Apple Date Crisp Recipe photo by Taste of Home Rating 5

My mother loves to make this old-fashioned dessert, and my father, brother and I love to eat it. Each serving is chock-full of apple slices, crunchy nuts and chewy dates. When the weather is cold, I love to warm up with this dessert. -Karin Cousineau, Burlington, North Carolina

Delicious. Not too sweet. Apple flavor really shines through. I substituted rolled oats for nuts due to allergy concerns, and for spices combined a teaspoon mixture of nutmeg, cloves and cinnamon. Family voted it best apple crisp recipe ever.
