"Oatmeal is a breakfast staple at our house," relates Lynne Van Wagenen from Salt Lake City, Utah. "It's a warm nutritious start to the day that keeps us going all morning. We used to buy the oatmeal mixes, but we think our homemade version is better! Feel free to substitute raisins or other dried fruit for the apples."

seems healthy but I found it lacking on flavor. I think I will add more spice and I did not think it was very sweet

This is a little sweet so we add extra quick oats to our bowls. Tried with dried blueberries. Thanks for sharing.

Great! So easy and tasty! I couldn't find any dried diced apples without other dried fruits mixed in so I bought apples chips and crushed 1 cup of them. Turned out great. Next time I'll try other stores to find the diced dried apples.
