I love making this treat for friends during the peak of apple season. I plan a quick soup and bread meal, so we can get right to the dessert!Libby Walp, Chicago, Illinois

Absolutely delicious...perfect for a cold winter day. I used granny smith apples because I enjoy the tart taste. The only thing I did differently was to use whipped cream that I got from another recipe on this site. It is super simple....1 cup of heavy cream and 4 1/2 tsp of instant vanilla pudding....use kitchen aid mixer with whisk attachment and by the time you serve up your Apple Betty, the whipped cream is ready...De-Lish

I made this for a dessert party, and it got rave reviews. I didn't have time to make the almond cream, so I just used whipped cream. I added pecans as brenda-2oo4 recommended and was very pleased with the result.

I have made this twice already and it's turned out so delicious. This is a keeper for sure. I'm glad that it can be cooked in a slow cooker as I don't always have the time to cook on a stove. Thanks for the great recipe!

I was a little apprehensive when I realized how long this had to cook for. After getting everything prepared and in a pot, it was perfect timing for cleaning house. The family had it for dessert and loved it. The only suggestion we had was adding some pecans for some crunch. Thank you again, this will be something I make again :)
