I first received a sample of these light, wonderful biscuits, along with the recipe, from an elderly gentleman friend. I now bake them often as a Saturday-morning treat, served with butter and honey. They're perfect with sausage gravy, too! Faye Hintz, Springfield, Missouri

I have been making this recipe for years and I also half it because it does make alot. They always turn out so good. Some times I add grated cheese to the batter with a bit of mince garlic. When they come out of the oven I brush the tops with garlic butter. Excellent with pasta.

I often cut this recipe in half as I live alone and it makes far too many biscuits for one person. I keep a couple and give an elderly neighbor man the rest. He loves them! I recently took them to a potluck at work. Everyone was raving over them another lady who had brought some bakery rolls said I did the same. She said these could not be made at home and accused me of buying them! I gave out the recipe, she had egg on her face.

I've made this recipe for years and have always loved it. Today I played with it a little. I kneaded it a little longer and added more flour, then I cut it into very large biscuits and topped them with cheese. OMG. They are so good!

Great for dipping in soup, or just eating with butter and jam.

I've used a slightly different version for 25+ years. I usually divide into 2 portions. It will sit happily in the fridge overnight. I can make biscuits for dinner & roll out the rest for cinnamon rolls in the morning. I have also used the dough for pigs in a blanket & my version of piroshki.

I served these biscuits at a family gathering and the guests loved them. My husband isn't a biscuit lover but he likes these biscuits. They are so light and not dry as some can be. Delicious!!
