This recipe has been a family favorite for several years. The addition of coconut, orange peel, pineapple and nuts gives a new twist to a loaf of banana bread. It's so good I sometimes serve slices of it for dessert. -Lanita Anderson, Chesapeake, Virginia

Fantastic bread. Moist and refreshing. I used slivered almonds. Family enjoyed this bread and I will definitely be making this again.

Love the hawaiian twist to your typical banana bread recipe. I didn't have almond extract on hand so only used vanilla extract and chopped walnuts, Mmmmmmmm!

The way to do without the sugar is to use Stevia Blend. It is from the stevia plant and contains no chemicals. It is completely natural. You also use half the amount of sugar.

Really moist and fresh tasting. I think next time I will drain the pineapple though. I don't like a quick bread recipe unless it is moist but this was almost too dense.

This is banana nut bread with pineapple and coconut added. It is very good but I still prefer my usual banana bread recipe. I am not against making this again, but I don't know that I will make the effort to.

I took some other viewers advice and added the juice with the crushed pineapple and also added some halved maraschino cherries. I left out the coconut because I am the only one in the family that likes it. This was like a glorified banana bread. My family thought the bread was very good. Next time I think I will quaarter the cherries. I also baked in 2 4"x7" pans for 45 minutes at the suggestion of another viewer.

This bread was great, but I baked it only for one hour and 5 minutes, I did not drain the prineapple and it was very moist, I also used macadamia nuts. Perfect

I entered this bread in our local county fair and took home a blue ribbon! I like the idea of adding cherries, I will try that the next time I make this!

My family loved this bread! I did not drain the pineapple and cut maraschino cherries in half (about 1/2 cup of whole cherries) and added to the batter. I also used 2 - 4 X 7 (small loaf pans) and baked the bread for 45 minutes. Perfect size for serving and you have two loafs of this wonderful bread!

My husband requests this every time we have over ripe bananas. He now makes me make two loafs at a time, because one is not enough. It is a favorite!! (confirming this is the whole recipe & I drain the pineapple)

I use grated zuchinni instead of the banana and I don't add the orange peel because I didn't see it until today! This is a great recipe! Thank you for sharing it.

I have made this recipe many times. This is the full recipe, and yes, I drain the pineapple. I make it into muffins, and we love it heated up and served with butter for breakfast or a snack also. I have used applesauce or chopped strawberries and only 1 banana sometimes, also. This is my favorite quick bread/muffin.

This bread is one of the best that I have tasted and a great bread for parties at anytime of the year. An it does make normal bananna bread seam so minute. My weekly quilt classes enjoy this bread. ENJOY !
