I've made this once, and gave half to my work and the other half to my fiance's work. Both containers were gone before the end of the day. This is quite possibly the best dessert I've ever eaten. EVER. :)

I just made this recipe over the weekend and it was very good. Everyone liked it however, It took me alot longer then it said to put together. I used honey instead of corn syrup, peanut butter for the peanut butter chips and peanuts for the walnuts. Yummy but so many steps and ingredients this will be a recipe that won't get made very often.

I have made this several times now, and it is always a hit. My coworkers go nuts when Ibring this particular snack in, and there is never even a sliver left over. It also does great at bake sales. Cut into the 1 inch squares, they easily sell for 1 dollar each, and then people come back for more! What a great fundraiser!!! I use the Quaker (or store brand) Chewy Smores Granola Bars, and they work just fine.

I made this for a potluck. It makes alot so I was excited because I wanted to be able to have leftovers but they were so good that I didnt get to take some home. The kids loved them and always ask me to make them now. This has become a recipe that adults and kids ask me to make everything we have a gathering.

To be honest, this dessert did not have the "wow" factor I was looking for. I took it to a church potluck and folks said they liked the bars, but I will not be making them again. Karen

Try the smores granola bars made by Quaker, that's what I used by pure accident. I thought that was what the recipe called for and I forgot my grocery list at home. I thought they turned out great!

after searching all the grocery stores in the area today.. I came back home and did some research.. apparently the nutty s'mores trail mix bars are made by Skippy.. and have been discontinued.. I thought I'd share this info incase someone else knows of a substitution.. I'd really love to make this dessert!
