Our part of Pennsylvania is known as "Apple Country". This cake is one of my family's favorites. It's great for a lunch box treat.

I made this cake for a church fellowship....it was delicious!! And gone quickly! It has a moist, dense texture and wonderful apple flavor. My changes were 1tsp. nutmeg to replace 1tsp. cinnamon. And I added an icing glaze to the top. Thanks for a wonderful recipe!

I made this for my family and it was a great hit!!! It was moist and not to sweet. Good as dessert or for a breakfast treat with coffee. I will definitely make again and again. Thank you.
