A tongue-tingling lime dressing complements the colorful variety of fruit in this delightful salad. It's always a hit at summer get-togethers. It looks beautiful on a buffet and is very refreshing on a hot day.

here's another way to prepare it-when I sent in this recipe to TOH magizine years ago, the directions called for it to be layered with the bananas, kiwi and sweet cherries on top as a garnish (the cherries were left off when it was published). the layers look pretty in a tall glass bowl.

Whenever I make this fruit salad I'm asked what's on it. The lime, sugar and water just perk up the fruit. DELICIOUS!

I've been making this for several years now - it is a very good, easy and simple, refreshing salad. I make it the night before except for the bananas, adding them just before seving for a great breakfast go-along. I like the idea of the Margurita mix - I'll try it!
