In the alcove behind the sink, I typically display family antiques, such as my mom's washboard and butter churn. This time of year, though, we've put up a small live Christmas tree.
We put our mini Christmas village on the display shelf under the wall cabinets—high enough to be out of reach of the grandchildren, but low enough for everyone to see it.
