The culinary experts in our Test Kitchen have classified all Taste of Home recipes by a number of categories to make browsing easy and fun. Start from our main categories, such as main dishes, side dishes or desserts. Or perhaps you're looking for soups, salads or sandwiches. Within each main category are a number of subcategories to drill down your selection. For example, under appetizers, you can drill down to just hot appetizers. To use the Recipe Finder, click on one of the main categories and the display will be a count of total recipes in the category, a sampling of six recipes, and a subcategory box to select a filtered list of recipes in that subcategory.
The most popular way to search Taste of Home recipes is from the Advanced Search page. Here you can enter ingredients to include or exclude, indicate special diet requirements (diabetic, low fat, low carb), select requirements for total preparation time and preparation method (grilled, baked, slow cooker, etc.).
Search for recipes that fit your specific dietary needs from the Special Diet page. Our search tool allows you to specify the number of grams for fat, sugar or carbs, or target levels for calories. In a hurry? Use the Preparation Time search tool to narrow your requirements to a specific time.
All recipe searches take you to a search results page with a listing of all the recipes that fit your search criteria. The first page will display the first ten recipes, as well as heading categories for recipe name, indication of photo included with the recipe, contest-winning indicator, total preparation time, recipe category and user ratings. Click on the top of any of these categories to sort your results.
The Search Results page also includes tabbed boxes with search results in the other content areas of the site that are related to the search terms or search categories you have indicated.
