Watercress
A delicate green with small round dark green leaves and edible stems often found growing in cooling running streams and brooks. It has a pungent flavor that is slightly bitter or peppery. Watercress can be used in salads, sandwiches and soups, and as a garnish. Available in bunches in the produce aisle of the grocery store year-round.
