Chipotle
A smoked and dried jalapeno pepper originating in the area surrounding Mexico City.
Often found canned in a chili sauce in the United States, chipotles are medium to hot in heat levels and are used in a variety of Mexican and American dishes that require a hot, spicy flavor.
