Healthy Meal Alternatives

I came from the “clean your plate” era and feel obligated to finish everything on my dinner plate. So I’ve found it works best for me if I put less food on my plate in the first place. When choosing foods, I also try to pick healthier alternatives. For example, I’ll serve myself a small amount of rice rather than a big mound of mashed potatoes and gravy.
