Frozen Cantaloupe
I like cantaloupe but don’t like buying it out of season when it’s expensive. So when it’s in season, I buy several cantaloupes. I remove the seeds and rind and slice the melon into chunks. Then I place them in freezer containers, pour white soda over the fruit and freeze. When I’m hungry for cantaloupe, I take it out to thaw. It tastes just like fresh. Mary E., Manitowoc, Wisconsin
