Reprocessing Unsealed Jars
If lid does not seal within 24 hours, the product must either be stored in the refrigerator and used within several days or reprocessed. To reprocess:
Remove and discard the lid. The band may be reused if in good condition. Don't reuse a jar with chips or cracks.
Reheat the product. Ladle or pour hot mixture into a hot clean jar, leaving the recommended amount of headspace. Adjust cap.
Process in a boiling-water bath as recipe directs.
