Preparing a Cake Pan
Grease the sides and bottom of the pan by spreading shortening with a paper towel over the interior of the pan.
Sprinkle 1 to 2 tablespoons of flour into the greased pan; tilt the pan to coat bottom and sides. Turn pan over and tap to remove excess flour.
